Recycled Cycles LTD. TM. History:
Larry McNeely, company co-founder and co-owner, helped bring
back the balloon tire bicycle in the early 1970's. He loved to
restore the older 1930's, 40's and 50's era bicycles for the beach
loving communities in California. He soon realized that with the
few numbers of older balloon tire bicycles and the lack of
restoreable parts, he was going to become involved in the
resurrection of the balloon tire bicycle. He called it the "California
Beach Cruiser" tm. He took some of the older concepts of the
Camel Back Diamond frame design, and with his knowledge of
beach corrosion crated a balloon tire bicycle that would actually
live up to the elements in which his main target area resided. At
that time Larry had the California Beach Cruiser tm name
trademarked and production started. Recycled Cycles was
located in two locations. One on Pacific Coast Highway in
Newport Beach, California and the other on 19th street in Costa
Mesa, California. He later added two more locations in
Huntington Beach (surf city), California. Again in 2007 Larry is
bringing back the Original California Beach Cruiser tm. This is for
those who love the outdoor sun and fun, want a strong sturdy bike
that will last a lifetime and will stand up to the elements that the
